Wellness care covers far more than vaccinations; it also includes preventive care such as heartworm and intestinal parasite testing, nose to tail exams, and comprehensive evaluations of overall health.
Dentistry
Periodontal disease is the most common ailment found in dogs and cats over four years old. It can lead to pain and tooth loss, and the resulting bacteria can spread throughout the body and damage the heart, lungs, kidneys and liver. Our dental services include teeth cleaning and polishing, tooth extractions and oral surgery.
Pain Management
We employ preventive pain management strategies tailored for your individual pet. Studies show that appropriate pain management reduces stress and speeds recovery. Whether your pet has experienced an acute cause for pain, such as injury, surgical or dental procedures, or is suffering from a chronic problem such as arthritis, cancer or disease, our team will take every step to ensure his comfort.
Behavior Counseling
We can provide advice regarding the correction of problems such as excessive barking, chewing, spraying, scratching, digging, house soiling and aggression. We also employ several great obedience trainers for general training and good citizen classes.
Grooming
Our experienced, professional dog groomers produce beautiful results with an extraordinarily gentle touch. Monica has been with ACC since 1999, while Sammi has been employed since 2001.

Stem Cell Therapy
We have become a national Leader in regenerative stem cell therapy. We have teamed up with Vet Stem in providing your pets with their own natural healing cells that help repair damaged tissues. These cells are capable of regenerating into a variety of tissue types such as tendon, ligament bone and cartilage, providing pain relief in hip and elbow dysplasia, and other degenerative conditions.
Laparoscopic Surgery
Animal Care Center recognizes the benefits of minimally invasive surgical options. Laparoscopic ovariohysterectomy (Spay) has been shown to decrease post operative pain by up to 65%, allowing your dog to be back to normal activity levels much faster than before. We are also able to offer our large breed, deep chested dogs a preventative gastropexy (stomach tacking) procedure that is much less invasive and painful than a traditional method. This procedure reduces the risk of death by bloat or gastric dilatation and volvulus.
Laser Surgery
We are proud to offer laser surgery as one of the many advanced technical options for your pets. As the laser cuts, it actually seals the capillaries along the incision, dramatically decreasing bleeding. Nerve endings and lymph vessels are also sealed during the incision process, reducing pain and swelling. A laser also kills bacteria reducing the risk of infection. All of these benefits lead to a faster recovery from surgical procedures performed using lasers.
Acupuncture
Acupuncture is growing in popularity, and is an accepted form of complementary, holistic medicine for animals. Research on conditions such as arthritis in animals has shown that acupuncture has definite pain-relieving effects. Acupuncture is also being used more and more to treat a whole range of problems in pets, and especially dogs. Contrary to popular belief, acupuncture on dogs is not painful - indeed, many dogs happily greet their acupuncturist and fall asleep during their treatment
Digital Radiography
We have invested in digital radiology (x-ray), which provides superior diagnostic details, including improved image quality, computerized enlargements and enhancements.
Advanced Diagnostic Imaging
We offer MRI and CT scanning at outside facilities on an as needed basis for accurate diagnosing of intervertebral disc herniation or protrusion as well as other neurologic diseases.
