Physical therapy is one of the best ways to help your pet regain full function after surgery or an injury. It may be used simply to help your arthritic dog lose weight and gain better mobility. We now have a hydrotherapy tub with electric muscle stimulation! The benefits of hydrotherapy include increased range of motion in joints, decreased pain, and exercise with less trauma. The biggest benefit of using electric muscle stimulation during hydrotherapy is increased blood flow to joins and less muscle atrophy. Electric muscle stimulation can also be used on specific muscle groups which may have already atrophied. We have seen remarkable results in the patients who are currently participating in hydrotherapy sessions and we look forward to helping many others.
