Veterinary Surgery

Animal Care Center is committed to the highest standards of care for our surgical patients. We implement cutting-edge technology to improve the surgical experience and enhance recovery. In addition, our rehabilitation center offers a variety of options during the recovery phase, including therapeutic treatments and pain management techniques.

Surgery & Anesthesia

Prior to surgery, we develop a pain management plan for before, during, and after the procedure. Administration of anesthesia is determined by your pet’s breed, age, condition, and type of surgery. Pet owners receive information and instructions regarding pain management and pet care, for every phase of the procedure and aftercare.

Before undergoing anesthesia, your pet receives a thorough exam with laboratory testing and bloodwork to determine overall health and patient risk associated with surgery. During the time your pet is under anesthesia, our veterinary technician monitors heart rate, blood pressure, respiration rate, and blood oxygen levels. Once surgery is over, the patient is closely monitored until alert and fully recovered from anesthesia.

Patient safety is our priority for any surgery, whether a routine procedure, such as spay or neuter, or a more complex operation. We employ the latest in cutting-edge technology to enhance our surgical options, including laser surgery and laparoscopy.

Laser Surgery for Pets

We are proud to offer laser surgery as one of the many advanced technical options for your pets. As the laser cuts, it actually seals the capillaries along the incision to dramatically decrease bleeding. Nerve endings and lymph vessels are sealed during the incision process, reducing pain and swelling. A laser also kills bacteria, reducing the risk of infection. All of these benefits lead to a faster recovery from surgical procedures performed using lasers.

A laser is an intense beam of highly focused light that can cut through tissue. It is used for very small, precise cuts in biopsies, eye surgery, or tumor removal. Lasers can also be used to perform traditional soft-tissue surgical procedures, such as spays, neuters, and thyroidectomies, with fewer side effects.

Minimally Invasive Laparoscopic Pet Surgery

Animal Care Center recognizes the benefits of minimally invasive surgical options. Laparoscopic ovariohysterectomy (spay) has been shown to decrease post-operative pain by up to 65%, allowing the patient to return to normal activity levels much faster than before.

We are also able to offer our large breed, deep chested dogs a preventive gastropexy (stomach tacking) procedure that is much less invasive and painful than the traditional method. This procedure reduces the risk of death by bloat or gastric dilatation and volvulus.

Best, most caring, most educational vist ever...I love this clean facility and fantastic staff. The doctors will go to the ends of the earth to find an answer to your Pet's problem!

This place is AMAZING!!! The Doctors, the staff... What an extraordinary team! Their expertise in the services they offer is incredible, anything that you need, they can take care of!

By far the best Vet we have seen! They remember me and my dog unlike many of the vets offices that I have visited just as frequently.

If I could give more than five stars to the staff at Animal Care Center ... I would! Dr. Pam and her staff are just amazing, which is something I hadn't seen with our previous Vet.

The best and most well-informed vet we've ever been to, we have more confidence in this team than anywhere else we've been. They did miracles for our big dog through the physical therapy and rehabilitation.

This clinic has some of the most high-tech treatment options available, right up to physical therapy for dogs! I have never been to a veterinarian that is as caring and concerned in my life, and I have been to MANY. I am a client for life!

I like that we always learn more about how to be better pet owners. Having had many vets over the past 20 years, I can say that the care for my pets, knowledge of and use of up to date procedures, friendly front desk staff and smart and kind vets make this an excellent place to get the best possible care for your pets.

I will never take my dogs anywhere else! All the doctors are down to earth and truly care about my pets. They have such a comfortable environment from the moment you walk in the front doors.

Dr. Pam is AMAZING and her colleagues and staff are some of the most wonderful caretakers for my furry kids. The atmosphere is welcome to animals and pets of all sizes and ages. I highly recommend the Animal Care Center.

I can't say enough good things about this clinic! The kindness and compassion they showed me far exceeded my expectations.
