Shiloh is our pet of the month because she has proven that old age is not a disease! She has also been an inspiration to all of us at the Animal Care Center. Shiloh is proof that no matter how bleak the future seems - there is always hope!

Shiloh lived the first 14 years of her life in a backyard kennel. When she found her new Dad in September he had no idea that within a few short weeks he would be wrapped around Shiloh's petite little paws.

After her check up Shiloh was diagnosed with dental disease and arthritis - both of which are treatable conditions! Her senior blood work and urinalysis was testament to her great health. We then performed routine dentistry under general anesthesia and started Shiloh on treatment for her arthritis. She eats a special food made for dogs with degenerative joints and takes a few medications that make her feel so much better. She has a spring in her step and gets stronger every time she comes to visit us at the Animal Care Center.

Shiloh has not looked back since she found her new family. Every day Shiloh grows as an individual and as a part of her new wonderful pack. She is especially fond of her new dog-dad-Dee and her canine sisters, Molly and Fancy.

Most importantly - Shiloh got a second chance at life making her senior years brighter.
